St David’s

St. David’s is the Key Stage 4 provision within Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service (HPRS). Students join us for a variety of reasons, including permanent exclusion, placement through an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or as part of a Level 4 dual registration arrangement with their mainstream school.

At St. David’s, we provide a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where young people are empowered to overcome barriers to learning, develop self-belief and achieve their full potential. Our personalised curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs, interests and aspirations, ensuring that every student accesses an education that is meaningful, engaging and ambitious.

Students work towards a range of qualifications, including Entry Level Certificates, Functional Skills, BTEC’s and GCSEs. Our aim is to ensure that every young person leaves HPRS with the qualifications, knowledge and skills needed to make a successful transition into further education, training or employment.

Alongside academic success, we offer a comprehensive careers programme that helps students explore future pathways, raise aspirations and make informed decisions about their next steps. We work closely with students, families and external partners to support positive destinations and successful transitions beyond HPRS.

We are also proud to offer a dedicated Outdoor Education provision, providing learners with valuable opportunities to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence through practical, hands-on experiences beyond the classroom. This includes participation in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and the opportunity to achieve Land-Based Studies qualifications, enabling students to develop essential life skills, broaden their experiences and celebrate success in a range of settings.
