Alternative Provision

Alternative Provision forms a core part of our curriculum offer and we are very proud of the range of experiences that we are able to offer our pupils. In Key Stage 4, most pupils will be out on placements on two days each week, undertaking a variety of different activities. These opportunities range from vocational courses in subjects such as catering or construction through to hair and beauty, animal care, and art and crafts. We are also keen to encourage pupils to embark on work experience placements where appropriate.

We work hard with our providers very closely to ensure that we offer the best experience we can for our pupils. We thoroughly monitor pupils’ attendance, engagement and behaviour each day and regularly track their progress to ensure that they are enjoying and benefiting from their placements.
