Dinedor Outdoor Education Centre

Brief Introduction / Background

The Centre provides the opportunity and environment for schools and colleges to develop their young students and to educate them on subjects relating to the outdoors.

The centre also provides work experience opportunities for those young people who are not in mainstream education and would not otherwise have the chance.

We currently have students from 3 of Herefordshire pupil referral schools using us regularity as the centre provides the correct environment beneficial to their particular learning needs.

The residential experience offers children & young people the opportunity to acquire or enhance their current life skills though a variety of situations and/or exercises, such as cooking, campfire craft, problem solving exercise, etc.

Dinedor Outdoor Centre provides a self-catering/or catered for, residential experience either under canvas, in dormitory blocks or both for children & young people in a safe and controlled environment.

Many schools from Herefordshire use the centre on an annual basis and we have several youth groups and schools from outside of the shire.

For many of the young people it is their first experience of living in the outdoors and being away from their immediate family.
